Isolated Organ and Tissue
This Heated Water Bath is for the most demanding research work.
It has two heaters having 250 watts of combined power.
The temperatur is automatically controlled by a sensitive thermistor
in a metal tube inside the bat to hold the bath water
temperature has stabilized. A magnetic stirrer in the bottom of the
tank slowly circulates the water to ensue uniform temperature.
These heaters are mounted through the front of the tank near the
bottom and extend 100 mm (4 in) into it. The desired temperature of
the Water Bath is set by a dial on the front panel that is graduated
from 15o to 45o C in 5o increments.
Two on/off switches and indicator lamps, one for power and the other
for the magnetic stirrer are on the front panel.

Single Tissue Bath 2
The walls of this bath are made of heavy, transparent plastic, so that the specimen can be
consultant and easily observed. The walls are 6mm thick. The tank measureThe two sides of the bath are extended to form a stand. The heating control housing is made of white plastic, offering the double advantage of being corrosion proof and an excellent electrical insulator from the heater.

Basic Single Tisue Bath
The walls of this bath are made of heavy, transparent plastic, so that the specimen can be consultant and easily observed. The tank is 100mm in diameter by 125mm high (4 x 5 in) and has a capacity of 800ml. Tank is solidly cemented to the base, which is constructed of formed white plastic. The plastic base offers the double advantage of not only being corrosion proof, but also serving as an excellent electrical insulator from the heater. A drain hole with tubing and plug is located in the bottom of the tank. There is also a tapered plastic cone in the bank bottom, into which the soft rubber bung carrying the stem of the glass tissue bath fits, making a convenient leak proof joint. The water bath is heated by a simple, sturdy cartridge element that is mounted off-center through the bottom on the tank. This heater has a rating of 50 watts. The temperature is controlled by an energy regulator mounted on the front of the bath. The dial has a position for “full energy” while the bath is being brought up to its desired temperature. A hole in three corners of the base can be used for uprights.

Basic Kymograph
The AWS Student Kymograph is designed for general experimental work, and is solidly built to with stand constant, hard laboratory use. The AC operated motor turns the spindle at five fixed speeds, from “muscle twitch” of 625mm per second down to 0.05mm per second.
Speeds: A dial on the front panel sets the gear box to one of five speeds. A “neutral” position, marked by an indicating dot between each of the speeds, protects the gear box. Using a cylinder 150mm (6 in) in circumference and printed chart. The following speeds and chart time bases are provided.
