Ergometer
This AWS figure ergo-meter is ideal for the study of human muscle fatigue. It can be used to record frequency, duration, speed of pull and relaxation curves. A pistol grip carries a trigger that operates against and adjustable spring tensioning device. The pivot point of the trigger holds and adjustable rod, to which a nylon line is secured. This line is wrapped around and adjustable pulley and anchored to a small spring at the top of an upright. A holder on pulley carries an ink writing stylus, which receives ink from a small reservoir. The height of the holder is adjustable. The aluminum base is 125mm (5 inch) wide and 500mm (20 inch) long which is sufficient to support the entire forearm when the hand is holding the pistol grip.
